Oh Great Spirit,
Whose voice I hear in the winds,
And whose breath gives life to all the world, hear me!
Chief Yellow Lark
To one and all I send to you,
Blessings on this day.
Wishing joy and merriment,
May it always come your way.
As you light the Yule log fire,
And the candles are all a-glow,
Be thankful for what you’ve reaped this year,
And all you’ve grown to Know!
As you bid farewell to the Holly King,
Under his blanket of snow,
Open your arms to the Oak King,
For the light he will bestow.
I am grateful for that which I have.
I am not sorrowful for that which I do not.
I have more than others, less than some,
but regardless, I am blessed with
what is mine.
The night or day before yule say:
“We have passed through the time of
darkness. The Goddess has carried us gently. I
now welcome the newborn Sun child.
May his birth bring good cheer to all the world!
May this yule log (or candles three) bring him
strength and comfort.
Light three white or yellow candles or a yule log with three candles. Let the three candles burn ’til dawn or until they burn out. At dawn first light a black then red then white candle and say:
“Blessed be the Great Mother who is at
once Maid, Mother, and Crone. Blessed is she,
Creatrix of allthings Great and small.
Let the candles burn out.
From the Grimoire of:Mossfaeri Autumnmyst
“We grieve more because we have been disconnected from our earth, our first
Mother, our spiritual Mother.”
~Larry P. Aitken, CHIPPEWA~
Where does all life come from? The Earth. Where does everything return to? The
Earth. Where do values come them? The Earth. Many people are lost because they
don’t know the importance of connection to the Earth. They connect to money, to
relationships, to success, to goals. When we are disconnected from the Earth, we
have feelings of being sad or lost. When we are connected to the Earth, we feel
warm and secure.
help me to stay
Thinking has power, today think of the power of peace. Peace for you as individual, peace for others that are in despair, universal peace The power of will and intention can and does change many things. Today, introduce the intention of peace in your thoughts. Take a few moments of silence, then repeat this ancient prayer:
Let me be loved, let me be happy, let me be peaceful.
Let my friends be happy, loved, and peaceful.
Let my perceived enemies be happy, loved, and peaceful.
Let all beings be happy, loved, and peaceful.
Let the whole world experience these things.
Any time during the day if you are overshadowed by fear or anger, repeat these intentions. Use this prayer to get back to the center of your peace and bestowing peace to all others.
